Subject:  oversize problem
hello everyone

do you guys know what size of disk can I put on runner 180,I have allready change the rims form 12" to 13",but I heard that this is not the problem, the problem is that the brake calipers are to big to fit the disk bigger than 250mm,did anybody had that expirience :?:

biggest disk i had on 13'' rim iz 285mm...

it was on aprilia sr... of course calipers then woudnt fit... so i used the one that aerox has... and later upgraded to those that RSV Mille has =)

heres 280mm version with aerox calipers...

this is the same disk I want to put on my runner, but tell me somethin,is this caliper from aerox strong enough to brake the disk,or this is not important ?
Or is it just the size of disk what is important to do smooth stoopies?

yeah caliper is enough.... cuz that disc is made for aerox.. i just fit it on sr =)

today i have calipers from RSV mille and its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to powerfull...very sensitive stuff.. requiers a lots of practicing to figure it out...

and for stoppies lenght... disk size doesnt matter... cuz when you do stoppie you go to the balance point... but biger disc will help you learn it faster cuz its much easyer to lift scooter.... also rember to have good soft tyre on front.... like sava soft or somethin....

hmm,I am in big dilema right now what to do, do I put on smaller disk and leave on the original caliper(cause is realy good),or do I put on bigger disk and change the caliper for smaller one... I ll just have to figure out somethin :?

god damn...waynder, when i took a ride on your sr, i almost flew over the steering...then i remembered that you put the RSV calipers...i said screw that, i will use the rear brake

yeah..thats what i was talking about... setup like this is REALLY powerfull... And it takes some tome to get used to it and figure it out... Also its VERY dangerous on wet and dusty roads...

but i can't see the point of setup like that...believe me...i was going about 70-80km/h, and i didn't even go hard on the brake...very gently, the handbrake lever barely moved...and i stopped in place...i don't know how i stayed on the bike...i was scared to shit...

but you can't do long stoppies because it's too powerful...so i don't see any purpose of that...

and check your PM...

wooow, that is sick,so it shouldnt be any problem on 13" rim vith runner original caliper, and 280mm disk...

The original caliper is in the wrong place for it to work.

You need to make some kind of spacer.

It's a mod i wanted to do, but had no way of making a spacer so i gave up.

Does the aerox caliper just bolt right on waynder?

So i could just buy disc, and buy aerox caliper, and away i go?
