Subject:  Dario_StUNt's YAMAHA SPY
So here I am... A lot of months of thinking, testing, saving money, and now it came to end..
I finally decided which scoot I want..
It'll be Yamaha SPY,98' i think, found it in ads for 5000! Croatian Kunas,in perfect condition..It's gonna be constructed in the winter,so it will be finished before 3rd month 2009.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Engine related stuff
LeoVince ZX /w matching rollers
Dellorto 17 or 17,5 mm
Clutch springs
and yeah I'll modify my gas tank so my bike won't shut down at long wheelies
or 12bar..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Non-engine related stuff
-Crash sliders
-12 bar
-Harri's grips
-STR8 DH handlebar,carbon adapter
-custom paint(Gr33n of course)
-sb sticks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Project should start at 19th of December, when I hope I go get the bike..

Cya later!
Dario
P.S.Here some pics of SPY:

all of these also use minareli engine...

different kind of minareli, but still minareli...

don't you think this scoot will be sold before december...

and please what do you talking about...tuning this engine for stunt is just waste of money...you can wheelie, stoppie, circles and everything with original engine...

bigger problems are that you are losing fuel on the carb when it's on bar...but very slowly...and lighter rollers if neccesary...

well... s freak has a point....

you could prbably put some basic 70 cc cylinder and maybe some cheap exhaust... just to get more smoke while burning rubber =)

Ok,thanks Waynder,I think ill do
as Jonne did..
@sfreak:ill contact the guy,so ill make a deal..
Update!

Subject:  Re: Dario_StUNt's YAMAHA SPY
jonne setup with polini corsa (the second setup)...is too jumpy...it's not easy to stunt with tuned scooter...ok, i'm not exactly an expert on this...i have a yamaha slider...the same engine like the spy...i'm used to original engine...when i make circles ma scoot doesn't jump when i gave a bit more gas...it all goes smooth...one time i had red springs on clutch and i couldnt do circles because it was to jumpy for me...i used to stunt with it and i can't go with anything else...

for spy...if you just want to tune your engine...buy an LeoVince ZX with matching rollers and clucth springs...maybe a bigger carb...if you really wanna to use 70ccm (i wouldn't) buy an DR Evo 70...

but spy has only 77kg...shit...you can wheelie it without gas for christ sake

i can confirm that its WAAAAAY easier to stunt with stock then tuned scooter....

Ok so i guess ill only do
ZX
Bigger carb(not necessarily)
and Clutch springs
Waynder,sfreak is that setup ok?

i would go with arrow compress light exhaust, carb 17mm TOPS, and play around with transmission.... rolls, springs... etc.. depends on your drive style...

just enough to make it jumpy, but not to jumpy...

first...make sliders, make bar and that sort of stuff...then go on the engine...

if you can find used exhaust fo minarelli vertical, and you really want it then buy it...these are rare engines in Croatia so you can see that there aren't much of a choice of exhaust in Croatia for minarelli vertical...i would never buy a new one because it's 900+ kuna for gasoline lol...

i just want to say...you don't need to tune up spy for stunt...of course, if you want more power then be my guest...but not for stunt...

any base exhaust is good for that extra power...but zx is the most common...

as waynder said it is easier to stunt with stock...from ditech to aerox...all can do wheelies with stock engine (and they are lot heavier then spy/slider/bw's)

isn't arrow a bit too long for 12 bar?

It sounds like shit, go with used ZX, they are cheap, have better performances and sound much much better!

BTW. Jumpy or not jumpy it matter of style and are you or not able to control your bike power! for some tricks you need bike to be jumpy to stay in a wheelie, but for some tricks it's better to have smooth power delivery!
If you ask me I like it jumpy!
