1. Why do most people us 50/70cc bikes when there are bike like the 100cc aerox?

2. Do you remove things like the oil pump and run premixed fuel?

3. What do stunters riding 600's etc think to stunting scooters in general

4. Are most scooter stunters under 20?

Think thats it for now Smile Thanks for any replies!

1. cuz 100cc engines are rare and its hardedr to find spare parts, and registration of that scooter is more expensive... so its better to use 125 150 180 piaggio engine... who btw runs MUCH better than aerox 100 or peugeot 100.

2. yes, every hard core stunter uses premix

3. it depandes... some like us some dont...

4. yup... cuz scooter stunting is considerd only as one of the steps toward big bike... as kid its hard for you to get 600 bike right?

this is what you must look on scooter if you wanna stunt it hard...

1. It must have rear disk or to be capacle to transform rear drum to disk (like sr 150/125)

2. Look that engine is something that hasy easy to get parts... if you are going for big bore i think that would be piaggio...

3. And its better to have AC then LC... Cuz you cant overheat engine just like that while burning rubber, scoot is lighter and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more easier to service engine...

4. to be 2stroke

Now when you look all that...

Scooters that go into this range are next

Aprilia SR 125/150
Piaggio Typhoon (if you fit him sr-s engine or weld caliper carriers)
Runner series???

Im not sayin that you cant stunt on Leonardo or VXR or even on some 500... Of course you can... But this are models that are most easier to stunt with low cost for spare engine parts...

Cheers for the help. cost isn't really a problem for me i work full time in a scooter shop in the UK, we dont really do any tuning or any thing which is why I'm vaig but i have access to tuning parts at trade prices

I'm 20 and have a full bike licence (nobike) so i could buy a 600 but for some reason i think it'll be better to learn on a scooter for 2 years then upgrade for the following reasons

-where i live the nearest airfield is an hour and half away(i can use the work van for sundays to go there but nights ill be stuck) and the only other places i could use are county roads that arnt to wide and have ditches near, i have it in my head that if i fall from a big bike ill be off faster and more chance of the bike reaching the ditch then a scooter that wont go as far.

-i know enough about scooter engines to strip, rebuild, service, repair but large bikes i know next to nothing

-cheap parts

in my workshop i have a few 50cc and 100cc Yamaha engines doing nothing so ive just got to decide if i want to use one of them or wait till we get a crashed piaggio bike.

or do u think i should just get a 600?

you will need to invest more into 600 to make it stuntable... rear hand brake, biger sprocket, crash cage...

also look if you are capapble t get spare parts for it...

if you vanna geard bike... try on some supermoto first... they hardly need any modifications... they are hard as hell and dont brake that easy...

p.s.

what scootershop is that you work for?

Its called scootique its nothing big

yeah the cost is one of the main things making me go more towords a scooter for the 1st few years since i can buy and fully tune inc brakes a yamaha 50-100 for under Ģ1k
i dont want to spend 3k on a big bike if i find i cant get on with the sport but i think i should be ok ive ridern bmx and trials for the past 4-5years and im not to shabby on them.

Yeah think I'm going to take you advice in.... but still go semi against it and use the Yamaha stuff Razz might as well if i can get the basic stuff for free from work. now do i use the 50cc because of all the tuning stuff available or the 100 lack of tuning but still its 100cc of a bit more grunt. I donīt get this AC is better than LC thing, okey Iīve crashed one radiator but other than that itīs working perfectly!

An AC engine doesnīt work as good as a LC engine when itīs hot, and you get more power with LC Wink
