This is my first post (of many hopefully lol)

I have an RS50, and ok, im only 16... but I really wanna get into stunting. Now I have been trying some stuff out, but I can't really get the hang of it all.

I know it is possible to wheelie my bike, because I have seen it done, and there is even a video on here somewhere that I was watching a minute ago of someone wheelying an RS50, but I can't seem to do it. I don't know why though.

Firstly I am not sure what "slipping the clutch" acctually involves. I usually go off slowly in first gear and pull the clutch in, then rev the engine upto 10,000rpm and let go of the clutch, but that dosen't work at all, just lurtches me forwards a bit. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Also... is there any modifications I can make to my bike to make it stunt/wheelie better. I thought increasing the size of my rear sprocket would help.... but then was told that it dosen't. Rolling Eyes

Also... I can do very small stoppies at the moment. Now I pull in the clutch, but my bike still seems to stall when it comes back down. Any ideas why?

Thanks a lot...
sorry to ask so many questions in my first post! haha

So.. 50cc isn't going to have enough power?

And... I'll see what I can do about the fairing and stuff.

yes you can wheele with 50 cc... why not? i we done it =) on tuono 50 aprilia... same angine as your rs 50...

of course big bore kit would help cuz of more power but its also possbile like this... you only need to "clutch it up"

now wait for few moments... lemme make a text about that

http://www.uponone.com/videos.php?id=1667

heres a video where guy talks about wheeling...yes its on bigger bike but principal is the same...

basicly you are doing the right thing with the clutch but on a wrong way...

pull the clutch and at the same time you reales it give it up some throttle... its not ritght to rev it up and then realese clutch... thats just to tweatchy...

syste needs practicing... expecialy on a low Hp bike like RS 50... but its possbile belive me... and not that hard when you gat the hang of it...

there will be times when you will think that you simply cant make it.... thats why practice makes it perfect.dont give up Wink

also always have foot ready on rear brake.. cuz its a life saveior if you go over balance...

keep us posted on how you are makeing with the practicing...

good luck Wink

A bigger spocket on your rear rim would be good for stunting. I have bigger spocket on my CBR 600, and it makes a big difference. And for sure itäs much easier with 70cc and stuff like that.

But I say: bigger spocket, a good exhaust pipe, and some mods to your carb. Then be sure you have good control over your rear brake Wink

There is only one way of learning, the same for us all, TRAINING!! Smile

Good to have you here

hmm... tried revving and clutching at the same time, still not much use. Will a bigger sprocket on the back aid me to get my front wheel up? I was told that it was just there for better control once you are up?

Also, what "mods" to my carb can I do pong? And thanks Smile its nice to be here. I wish I could do something else rather than just ask questions haha. Very Happy

All is not lost however - I did do some better stoppies (and I didn't stall! lol)... Instead of sitting down I stood up more, putting more weight on my feet... and I bounced the bike up too! Very Happy lol... worked a dream! Very Happy

I also tried drifting, although few things I should learn... one of which is not to do it at a junction onto heavy traffic! lol Just wondering though (sorry, another question) How do you "recover" from a drift? I used the front brake, which just almost sent me flying the other way, lol. (my balls hurt for ages!)

Thanks so much Smile
Tom

recover from drift... just dose the throttle down and realese the clutch =P

about the wheelies.... yah dude its hard i know... expecially on 50 cc geard bike... but you gotta keep on trying.... bigger rear sprocket will give you more power on accteleration... will be easyer to lift it up....

also i forgot to mention... expecially on weak bike like rs 50... you need to pull it to the wheelie a bit...

but the thing is that you dont pull it UP...pull it backwards... to your self...
